Marc,

This is a great summary from the JnJ perspective. It's the beginnings of transparency that consumers are looking for from healthcare & pharma companies. I think you and JnJ should be applauded for taking the lead on such a hot button topic in the industry.

There is another article recently published on Adweek that discusses other JnJ Social Media efforts. Check it out here - http://www.brandweek.com/bw/content_display/current-issue/e3ie08aadb553c2ade9caea50c91352c7aa

Keep the good stuff coming. I look forward to reading your updates.

Appreciate the feedback. Again, I don't think some of these hurdles are insurmountable.

Well said, Marc.

There is definitely a real conflict between the attributes that make social media "social" and the realities of being pharma.

However, having said that, I also believe that the majority of issues that we face in the industry are common to most corporate/enterprise organizations. It is mainly the pharma-specific legal/regulatory aspect that compounds the issues and where we differ and struggle.

Whatever the case, I am still very impressed by the way that JNJ has been forging the way with social media and helping all of us in the industry learn and grow. Bravo!
